4.5 I love REMY stars!
I HATE reviewing books like this! Hate it! You want to know why... because if I reviewed the book how I wanted to, there would be so many spoilers no one could read it. So... I'm just going to have to be a little vague about some things and tell you what I loved- with no spoilers of course :D
Real was a hit or miss book for a lot of people. For me, it was a hit. And there is one particular reason for that. His name is Remington Tate.
Nobody taught him how to love. He does it instinctively. There is something about Remington Tate. Remy fights hard but loves harder. He is protective, possessive, alpha male to the extreme. There is nothing I don't love about Remy. He is sweet, considerate, sexy as hell, and yes, he is damaged. Everything with his family has messed him up. He goes into 'black' periods, but he tries his best to control them. Brooke wants to help him, but sometimes just being there for him is enough.
Brooke still isn't my favorite heroine, but I have to say that she annoyed me much less in this book than in Real. I'm happy to report that she grew up some. She wasn't perfect, but I think she made better decisions overall regarding Remy and how she reacted to him. I really do love Remy and Brooke together. The raw, real, possessive and powerful love they have. Their love never falters. They want each other. They need each other.
"You," he says, his voice terse and commanding as he drags his wet thumb across my lips, "are going to love me until I die. I'm going to make you love me even if it hurts, and when it hurts, I'm going to make it better, Brooke. You're going to fucking love me if it kills us."
"I promise. I promise, you have my heart, and you have me. You will always have me."
Things I loved- I love the way Remy and Brooke communicate with music, I always have. I think that is one of the most beautiful things about their story. I love how deeply and passionately they feel for one another. While reading, you can feel the passion between the two. And the sex. The sex was HOT. Mine had it's predictable parts in the story line. For that reason, I didn't love this one quite as much as I did Real. For fans of Real, I would recommend picking it up! If you haven't read Real, what are you waiting for, you NEED to meet Remy! And for those that didn't love Real, you probably won't love Mine either. That being said, Mine was a great read for me!
When everything's meant to be broken I just want you to know who I am.

He’s mine, and I’m his. Our love is all-consuming, powerful,
imperfect, and real…
In the international bestseller REAL, the unstoppable bad boy of the Underground fighting circuit finally met his match. Hired to keep him in prime condition, Brooke Dumas unleashed a primal desire in Remington “Riptide” Tate as vital as the air he breathes… and now he can’t live without her.
Brooke never imagined she would end up with the man who is every woman’s dream, but not all dreams end happily ever after, and just when they need each other the most, she is torn away from his side. Now with distance and darkness between them, the only thing left is to fight for the love of the man she calls MINE.
